  • What areas do you supply?
As a rule of thumb we try to stick to not not travelling over 2 hours or 50 miles from our warehouse in Pulborough. This is due to logistics and timings. We also want you assured that we are not too far away in the rare event of a callout. We do however travel further upon special request! The 50 mile radius covers West Sussex, East Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, London, Greater London, Berkshire, even the Isle of Wight!
  • Where can I pitch a marquee?
The short answer to this is basically anywhere! It could be a field in the middle of nowhere, in your back garden, all the way to the centre of a city where space permits. We do need a flat as possible flat surface (although wooden floor options can level things out), and good access but we can talk you through this. You can source your own venue, or we have some great suggested venues for you based on the desired location area. Our clearspan marquees come in various sizes and every job is bespoke, especially in tight spaces! Contact us for a chat.
  • Do you do site visits?
Yes, we insist on site visits for venues or private residences that we have not worked with before. It is great for us to meet you first of all and get a feel for what you envisage while we measure up. It's important to be aware of any slopes, overhanging cables check access etc. in advance of a tipi set up. We provide this service for free.
  • When do you set up and take down the marquee?
As you can understand, we are busy over the summer months so work closely with our clients in order to designate set up and take down days which work best for everyone. This may depend on the day of your event. In general, most weddings and events are on a Saturday and we set up Wednesday-Friday. We generally take down on Sunday-Tuesday. This is something you will need to pre-organise with your venue and us in advance. Once the marquees are handed over and signed off, they are then your responsibility.
  • How long does it take to set up and take down the marquee?
This will depend on the size of your marquee and what extras you have ordered but in short, we like to say "it takes a day". We will arrive on the organised set up day bright and early in the morning and always aim to be done that day unless it had been scheduled as a 2-day build (due to it being a larger build). The same goes for a take down. An example of general timings may be that you have booked in a large marquee with full lighting, dancefloor, tables and chairs for 100 guests. Let's say we arrive at 9am, we should generally be done and out of your hair by 3pm, all being well. The take down will be quicker, most likely packed up and loaded by about 1pm. This is just an example as every job is unique and there are many variables in play.
  • What power do we require?
Power requirements vary depending on what you plan to have at your event but this is always discussed from the early stages of planning on our end. Your venue may be a field in the middle of nowhere where a generator is required or a venue with a full power distribution ready to plug in to. At a bare minimum we require no power if no lighting has been ordered. If you have ordered lighting, in general we require only a single 13amp feed (regular house plug) as our lighting is all low power consumption. During the build may bring our own small generator to test the lights as we go if no power is available at that point. You may also require power for other aspects of your event. This could be for music, catering, loos, fridge trailers etc. All of these things vary in consumption so this must be calculated when working out how many runs of power or size of generator is required. As a rule of thumb, we will always calculate and supply the correct power for what is ordered through us. Any extra power requirements must be disclosed at the earliest point of planning so that we can help to offer a solution.
  • What size marquee do I require for my wedding? Do I need more than one?
This depends mainly on your guest numbers. You must also factor in space required for tables and seating if you are dining, as well as space for dance etc. if you require these things. Please view the "pricing" section via the website menu to see examples of layouts based on guest numbers.
  • How much is it to hire a marquee?
This depends on your requirements based on guest numbers along with many other factors. Please view the "pricing" section via the website menu to see examples of pricing and layouts based on guest numbers. Any extras you require can be discussed and quoted.
  • Can you recommend suppliers?
We have decades of dealing with hundreds of different suppliers locally within the industry. Please feel free to ask for recommendations.
  • My caterers have asked for a service tent, can you help?
Yes absolutely! We can supply catering tents using solid clear span marquees upon request. We always link this straight on to the main marquee so that no food leaves cover during service.
